One of my favorite little Firefox Add-ons is an interesting kind of site launcher called “Morning Coffee“. I know it’s probably a fairly well-known plugin but I’ve recently been asked what that little coffee icon is at the top of my browser a few times. So here goes….
I typically go through and check all of my favorite blogs, etc in the morning before I really get started with my day, hence the “Morning Coffee” name. It’s fairly simple, once you load the plugin into Fireworks simply go to the sites you view on a regular basis and add them to your morning coffee. You can set them up per day, every day, Tuesdays/Thursdays and Monday, Wednesday, Fridays.
Certain sites I view every day whereas some blogs really only update once a week so this makes it extremely useful. It’s easy to configure, add and remove sites from your morning coffee and once you’ve got it all set up it’s a snap to use.
Simply click the Morning Coffee icon in the Firefox window (usually it’ll pop up next to the home button on Firefox) and it’ll quickly load all of your selected sites for that day within tabs in the same browser window allowing you to quickly peruse all of your daily favorites with ease.
The plugin is free of course so give it a shot. Download it here.
